Some things we did, included: making our own food, reducing going out to eat, ordering takeout, and buying food in bulk and even switching up where they buy their food.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;\">Aren\u2019t some people making their own food already? It\u2019s not about if we did or not, it&#8217;s about how often we\u2019ve had to prepare meals, and how many more people began to use their kitchen since the lockdown. For example, in my house, we already cook homemade food like pasta and fish, but ever since the beginning of the pandemic, my mom has been learning how to make bread, pasta, pizza, desserts etc. I also reached out to friends during the pandemic, they have also received the same response.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5330\" style=\"width: 129px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5330\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-5330\" src=\"https:\/\/seeds.ca\/schoolfoodgardens\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/image3-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"119\" height=\"159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seeds.ca\/schoolfoodgardens\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/image3-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/seeds.ca\/schoolfoodgardens\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/image3-rotated.jpeg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 119px) 100vw, 119px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-5330\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ciabatta dough in the fridge<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before COVID-19, the average teenager would go out to eat junk food on a daily basis. Now that we ha<\/span>ve all been restricted to going out like before, most people order their food or get international treats from Amazon, giving them a chance to eat something different without leaving their home. They are also spending less money and hanging out at home with the quarantine happening. Even though everyone buys in bulk, the amounts have been much bigger and there was even a shortage of cleaning products and toilet paper for half a year!
