Being the capital of Ontario, Toronto is an <\/span>extremely populated city, having over 3 million <\/span>residents. Obtaining produce would be much\u00a0<\/span>more difficult as well as expensive if it were to\u00a0<\/span>be shipped in. Instead, the TRCA decided to\u00a0<\/span>take action and are currently taking care of 10 watersheds throughout the Greater Toronto Area. <\/span>These are responsible for helping crops grow <\/span>through providing healthy soil for crops. This\u00a0<\/span>practice allows local produce to be grown,\u00a0<\/span>creating jobs for people who are looking for one <\/span>within the competitive city!<\/span><\/p>\n

Home to one of the most prestigious business programs <\/span>in the world, Ivey Business School, they are bound to\u00a0<\/span>have a large population. Although urban agriculture was\u00a0<\/span>not popular within the area due to its slow rise in\u00a0<\/span>development, the city of London is implementing new <\/span>laws to support urban agriculture practices. In 2017 these laws encouraged the community to help grow crops through removing prohibited access to gardens, the ability to sell produce and flowers from your front door, and the development of new community gardens. <\/span>Through these methods, the city of London is bringing <\/span>the community together while increasing the supply\u00a0<\/span>of fresh crops and produce!<\/span><\/p>\n
