From the Bauta Initiative web site:
The goal of the Seed Facilitation Fund is to help build a diverse and resilient seed system by strengthening the capacity of ecological vegetable seed and field crop producers. The Fund provides financial support to organizations and individuals who share the values and goals of our program, and who are working to advance the following objectives:
Our program focuses on ecological vegetable seed and field crops that are important for food security, can be viably grown in Canada, and have commercial potential. We are particularly interested in supporting collaborative projects to scale up and build resilient regional seed systems.
Individuals and organizations who received funding in 2015 are eligible to submit an application for 2016. The evaluation survey for 2015 grants will be circulated in early September, so that experience and learning from this year can be built into next year’s work.
An annual membership to Seeds of Diversity gives you access to our seed exchange, seed grow-out programs, and our online news.
Thank you for your support!
