It Isn't Too Late to List Seeds in the Seed Exchange

Canadians are fortunate to have over 120 seed companies, and at least that many local seed libraries and seed swaps, to get a vast assortment of seeds for their gardens. But one of the most interesting ways to find new seeds is to discover what home-grown seed savers have to offer.

Our Member Seed Exchange is Canada's largest seed exchange, where members offer nearly 2400 different kinds of seeds from their own gardens: vegetables, flowers, herbs, grains, fruit, and some plants you've probably never heard of. If you're looking for diversity, this is where you will find it!

If you haven't renewed your membership for 2022, do it now - it's free - and get your password to activate the full directory.

What if you still have seeds to offer?

It's never too late to add seeds to the Exchange. Any member can list seeds at https://seeds.ca/app/mbr/msd-edit and there's no limit to when you can add or remove them. Some members list seeds all year round, some change their listings several times during the winter, and you can even choose to automatically start and stop your listings on a built-in calendar.

The only scheduled part of the Seed Exchange is the printed directory. About 1/4 of our members pay an extra $10 to receive a printed copy of all the listings. It's over 100 pages long! That print copy was made in January, and it's essentially a snapshot of the listings that were available at that time.

The seeds in the Exchange are always changing as members add new offers, and remove them as they run out. See what's there today, and happy seed saving!
